OneMain Financial is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Recovery Collector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in negotiating arrangements for payment or settlements with customers on deficiency balances on accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place and receive calls regarding account deficiencies, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers.
  • Prepare and mail Notice of Deficiency letters to responsible parties, maintaining accurate records of correspondence.
  • Determine account eligibility for transfer to appropriate 3rd party collection agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare garnishment paperwork for applicable parties, including court clerks, constables, and account employers.
  • Perform other duties as required, contributing to the success of our team.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 2+ years of collections experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, promoting a positive team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Exceptional customer service skills and outstanding phone and negotiation skills
