Michael Page is seeking a seasoned Healthcare Construction Project Manager to oversee and execute healthcare construction projects in Portland, Oregon.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare facility construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and healthcare industry standards.

Job Description
  • Project Management:
    • Lead daily onsite construction activities for healthcare projects, including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
    • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all work complies with healthcare-specific building codes, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain OSHA compliance and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and direct subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers.
    • Facilitate daily and weekly site meetings to ensure alignment among all parties involved.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Maintain a high level of quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure proper installation of materials and systems per healthcare specifications.
  • Client Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during onsite construction phases.
    • Provide regular progress updates, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a superintendent in healthcare or similar construction projects.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certifications are required; ASHE certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, such as Procore or Bluebeam.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare infrastructure requirements, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

  • Onsite work required in Portland, Oregon.
  • Potential for extended hours or weekend work based on project needs.
