An Overnight Room Attendant is chiefly responsible for ensuring that guest accommodations, corridors, and communal areas within the hotel are kept clean and appealing during the night shift. This position involves servicing guest rooms according to hotel protocols, equipping the cleaning cart with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and restocking guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety regulations. Additionally, this role may include performing deep cleaning tasks within guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in line with company standards as dictated by scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning products, and linens.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May need to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
