Job Title: School Based Mental Health Worker

Child and Family Focus, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Based Mental Health Worker to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a school setting, providing mental health services to students and supporting the educational environment.

Job Summary:

The School Based Mental Health Worker will work collaboratively with the behavioral and clinical teams within the IBMT DCIU Alternative Schools. This role requires a strong ability to assess and develop interventions for students, while partnering with staff in the school and community to support student success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt approaches based on individual student needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct mental health services to students, including individual, group, and family therapies.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Coordinate care with school district staff, focusing on customer service, community partnerships, and advocacy for students in need.
  • Utilize electronic health records and demonstrate ongoing availability during the school year.
  • Adhere to the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Human Services or a related field, including psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • One or more years of clinical or behavioral experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience providing therapy or direct service work to children and adolescents.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or BCBA.
Work Environment:
  • Work within a school setting at DCIU Aston Educational Center and The County Alternative High School. Travel between schools may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly pay range: $22-$25 hourly.
  • Additional pay for ESY hours worked.
