Baker Training Specialist

At Panera Bread, we're seeking a skilled Baker Training Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our bakery operations, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for our bakers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with our General Manager to select and interview top talent for our bakery team.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for our bakers, focusing on skills development and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with our Certified Baker Trainers to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Facilitate engaging and informative baking events, such as bread cuttings, to educate our team members and customers about our products.
  • Validate and reinforce our bakery standards and procedures with all team members, ensuring consistency and quality across our locations.
  • Work closely with our cafe managers and Fresh Dough Facility team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of our products and ingredients, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting baking equipment and ensure our team members have the necessary skills to operate our equipment effectively.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 6-12 months of Panera bakery experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Working Conditions:
  • Up to 90% travel required.
Physical Requirements:
  • This role requires a mix of walking/standing during long periods, some desk/office work, and driving between locations.
