About the Role

As a Clinical Research Nurse at Texas Oncology, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based cancer care to our patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Screening and Recruitment: Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation, ensuring that they meet the necessary criteria and are aware of the trial's requirements and potential risks.
  • Consent and Education: Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients, conducting the informed consent process and providing education on the management and administration of investigational products.
  • Adverse Event Management: Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition, ensuring that any issues are promptly reported and addressed.
  • Documentation and Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements, maintaining the integrity of the clinical trial data.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure the smooth operation of clinical trials.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education, with a current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice. Current BLS or ACLS certification is required, with a minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in oncology.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records and data management systems is essential.
