About Us:
Our California-based company prides itself on offering an extensive selection of tiles, installation materials, and tools. Our team comprises knowledgeable tile experts and creative design professionals who collaborate to meet our clients' diverse needs throughout the design and sourcing journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently travel within the designated region to engage with both existing and potential clients, including architects, designers, developers, general contractors, and national accounts. Aim for 4-5 client interactions daily from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays reserved for planning and meetings.
- Collaborate closely with architects and designers to identify key decision-makers and cultivate trusted relationships with influencers in the industry, enhancing the demand for Tile Club products.
- Evaluate customer inquiries and ensure timely and appropriate responses, coordinating with manufacturing and quality assurance as necessary.
- Facilitate online meetings to promote effective collaboration between clients and our team.
- Assist architectural and design professionals with product selection and design consulting to support their project needs.
- Influence product specifications aligned with the company's strategic goals, focusing on opportunities that drive sales and return on investment.
- Assess market trends and strategically develop relationships with A&D professionals to enhance product specifications and sales.
- Provide accurate technical information for product specifications and maintain responsive communication with clients.
- Follow up on sales leads to ensure sufficient product information is provided and specifications are maintained throughout the bidding process.
- Network within the industry to effectively promote targeted products and initiatives.
- Monitor competitive activities and strategically position Tile Club's offerings in the marketplace.
- Enhance product knowledge by participating in industry events, presentations, and workshops, and by organizing joint sales calls with company representatives.
- Conduct regular product knowledge seminars for architectural and design firms using effective presentation tools.
- Maintain organized sample libraries at design and architecture firms, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest product introductions.
- Promote new products during sales calls by showcasing actual samples rather than images.
- Provide daily reports and engage in weekly team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Active membership in professional industry organizations (e.g., IIDA, ASID, AIA, CSI) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer relationship management abilities.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of sales experience in the tile industry, with a focus on the A&D community.
- An established network of architects and designers.
- Experience in floor covering sales and knowledge of mosaic products is essential.
- Prior experience in a technical field with commercial sales exposure is advantageous.
Competencies:
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid technical knowledge base.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with industry-related software (CAD, REVIT, Sketch Up, etc.).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage project files effectively.
- Adept at networking and maintaining industry connections.
- Ability to lift and transport samples weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
