Job Title: Electrical Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to join our team at Dewberry. As a key member of our Electrical Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in executing projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers in executing projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical systems
  • Develop and implement electrical design standards and guidelines
  • Conduct power system analysis and design protection and control systems
  • Develop medium voltage specifications for protection and control systems
  • Develop engineering hour estimates and proposals for power system studies
  • Assist in developing proportional material and conduct presentations
  • Provide technical and quality oversight of all project work for the discipline area
  • Establish and improve standards for the discipline area
  • Adhere to discipline project budget and review and provide updates on project budgets at milestone dates
  • Identify staff performing design of the project and identify Engineer of Record
  • Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions, technical and cost estimates
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 8-15 years of PSS operation experience or industrial projects
  • PE is required
  • Must have experience designing electrical systems and producing design deliverables
  • Proven leadership skills delegating to engineering and design staff
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive, and determination
  • Good verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines and client interface
