Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support the blood collection operations by sourcing, distributing, and maintaining the supplies and equipment essential for daily blood collection activities. You will also manage the delivery and return of materials to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee blood collection equipment and supplies, including boxes, labels, and canteen items. Prepare blood collection kits according to established guidelines.
  • Conduct inventory checks and order supplies from the warehouse, ensuring the collections' supply and equipment area is well-maintained. Fulfill order requests from mobile and fixed sites.
  • Engage positively and proactively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • May operate blood collection vehicles to load and unload necessary supplies and equipment as required.

Standard Schedule:

  • To effectively serve our donors and community, staff work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Schedules are provided two to three weeks in advance.
  • Typical schedule includes Sunday through Thursday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Sundays, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Monday to Thursday). Two consecutive days off on Friday and Saturday.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay rate of $20.50 per hour.
  • $1,500 hiring bonus available.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer service experience and strong verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights is required.
  • Operational flexibility is needed to address sudden and unpredictable demands. Must be capable of lifting or moving up to 75 pounds; reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling; working in confined spaces. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools and handling different chemicals and solvents is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inventory control is advantageous.
