Position: Senior .NET Developer

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement technology and architectural enhancements to maintain the reliability of applications within the organization’s portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, improvements, and support for various business applications.
  • Assist in the formulation and documentation of program requirements and specifications.
  • Develop, translate, and code software applications according to established specifications.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of user manuals and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to troubleshoot issues with software products or internal systems.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to junior developers.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Over 10 years of experience with MS Visual Studio, particularly in VB.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET Core.
  • At least 4 years of experience with MS SQL Server, including T/SQL, database IDEs, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), with skills in performance tuning and complex query development.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing applications using the React JavaScript framework.
  • 4+ years of experience functioning as a Full-stack developer.
  • Experience in Cloud Server environments, preferably Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Understanding of architectural design patterns, such as MVC.
  • Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database design principles.
  • Awareness of database security practices, including role-based security.
  • Understanding of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM).
  • Ability to think creatively, exercise sound judgment, and foresee potential issues in design and specifications of assigned software systems.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on collaboration.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft certifications, preferably MCSD or MCTS.
  • Experience with C# and VB.NET programming languages.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Experience in web development utilizing XML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Experience with environmental regulatory business processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban.
  • Understanding of the technical environment relevant to the organization.
