Job Mission:

You will play a pivotal role in aligning technology solutions with business objectives within the product creation and corporate systems domains. You will create, build, and support global applications that will help drive New Balance to be a Top 3 Global Athletic Brand. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of strategic and responsive technical initiatives that support business growth and strengthen brand equity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of analysts, developers, and engineers involved in the design and development of corporate systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
  • Manage medium to large-size projects with high complexity, responsible for design, planning, and implementation throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Lead discussions with business and IT management to define business requirements for new business needs, model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
  • Establish best practices, standards, and methodologies for software development within the domain.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of multiple domains and work within the structure of the full software development lifecycle, work as an expert on application interfaces and integration points.
  • Lead integration design strategy, connecting new and existing corporate systems and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.
  • Document the company's existing application systems architecture and technology portfolio, make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and be a subject matter expert in one or more business areas, leverage application and domain expertise to provide guidance and educate others.
  • Assist project management with identifying tasks, estimating work efforts, and planning resource allocations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Build a technical team to support the execution of new corporate systems programs and operate as the development lead, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
  • Understanding of SAAS platforms and experience with launching highly scalable solutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication.

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8 years) in technical leadership roles, having experience in leading and assembling teams with a focus on software design and development.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages & technologies, and technologies related to web-based applications and databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices and methodologies.
