We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Engineering to lead our Technical Transformation efforts at TripAdvisor. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in defining the objectives of our Tech Modernization investments and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Technical Transformation Objectives: Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategic roadmap for Tech Transformation and Modernization, aligning with our business strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Leadership: Work closely with Engineering leadership to evaluate the current tech landscape, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize investments that drive business value.
  • Develop and Track Key Metrics: Create key metrics to track progress and results, and monitor Modernization investments to ensure positive returns.
  • Lead Communication and Change Management: Manage communication related to Tech Transformation, including milestones, announcements, and ROI, and champion engineering excellence and optimize organizational processes.
  • Strategic Thinking and Leadership: Demonstrate strong strategic thinking abilities, aligning technical initiatives with business goals, and lead and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in planning, executing, and delivering product and platform strategies, with proficiency in technical transformation and modernization at scale.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong strategic thinking abilities, proven leadership skills, and expertise in cloud technologies, microservice architecture, and emerging AI technologies.
