Key Responsibilities- Record patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges, and collections in a timely and accurate manner.
- Schedule patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of medical office software, including updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting, required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic medical terminology, with the ability to learn and apply knowledge of medical office software and systems.
- High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems, with the ability to learn and apply knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements and coding requirements for practice specialty.
- Proficient in the use of all computer software utilized in the practice.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols.
