Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Patient Education Coordinator to provide educational and clinical services in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in chronic disease care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients with chronic diseases
  • Provide clinical services in a clinical setting, including patient care activities and health education
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on disease-related issues and serve as a resource to the patient community
  • Participate in events designed to increase health awareness and advocate for patients' needs
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • 2 years of clinical experience in chronic disease care
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Appropriate credentialing per specific discipline or to be acquired within 1 year of obtaining the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in educating a diverse population on healthcare issues
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
