Patient Registration Specialist

Job Summary
Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Patient Registration Specialist to accurately identify and register patients in the hospital information system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients in the hospital information system with complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information
- Handle all aspects of scheduling same-day visits, tests, and exams
- Provide reception and manage patient flow in support of Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging testing services or Emergency Department Care
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Relevant customer service experience
- Experience using a computerized information system
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to discretely handle confidential information
Pay Range: $17.11 - $25.41
