Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Education Coordinator to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide educational and clinical services to patients in a clinical setting, promoting disease or disorder self-management and health awareness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide educational services to patients on disease or disorder self-management, following clinical standards of care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on disease or disorder related issues to serve as a resource to the patient community.
  • Participate in events designed to increase health awareness and promote patient education.
  • Perform patient care activities for patients of diverse ages in a clinical setting.
  • Advocate for patients and utilize the nursing process in the care of all age populations along the health continuum.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred or required as per specialty credentialing requirements.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in chronic disease care in a specialty area.
  • Experience in educating a diverse population on healthcare issues is highly desirable.
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Appropriate credentialing per specific discipline or to be acquired within 1 year of obtaining the position.

  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and relate information to individuals of varying ages from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Salary Range: $64,650.00 - $103,230.00
