As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring project success by accurately estimating costs and developing comprehensive budgets. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding our clients through the bidding process and setting realistic expectations for project expenditures.
Responsibilities- Project Planning & Management: Collaborate with site leads and supervisory staff to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Cost Analysis & Estimation: Thoroughly review blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents to accurately estimate material costs, labor requirements, and equipment needs.
- Budget Development & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive budget proposals, reports, and presentations for clients, clearly outlining project costs, contingencies, and potential risks.
- Vendor Evaluation & Negotiation: Research and evaluate bids from various vendors to secure the most competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Monitor project expenditures throughout the construction process, identify variances from the budget, and implement corrective measures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Estimator) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Commercial Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
