**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at New York State. As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating individuals with physical therapy needs, developing treatment plans, and supervising physical therapy activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Evaluate individuals' needs for therapy based on functional performance, as prescribed or referred by a physician.
- Develop treatment plans describing the treatment strategy, purpose, and anticipated outcomes.
- Supervise and conduct physical therapy activities, including working with individuals, family, caregivers, and community agencies to plan for continuity of care upon discharge or movement to a less restrictive community-based setting.
- Evaluate and document the progress of individuals, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Instruct other physical therapy staff and service providers in therapy techniques and objectives.
**Requirements**
- Must possess a License to practice as a Physical Therapist and one year of post-licensure physical therapy experience.
- Must be eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable by the NYS Department of Civil Service to the Senior Occupational Therapist.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
