Position Overview:

The Component Qualification Lead plays a crucial role in the validation of industry-standard DIMM, SSD, and HDD components within Enterprise Server systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic guidance to Program Managers regarding the scheduling and execution of testing processes.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, system integrators, and component suppliers to identify, diagnose, and resolve testing failures.
  • Debugging hardware, firmware, and software issues effectively.
  • Creating scripts to automate testing procedures utilizing PowerShell and Python.
  • Formulating functional and performance test cases to ensure optimal operation of DIMM, SSD, and HDD components within Enterprise Servers.
  • Assisting the laboratory team in troubleshooting and resolving issues that impede test execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in testing Enterprise Servers or industry-standard server components such as DIMM, SSD, and HDD.
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards including DDR4, DDR5, NVMe, PCIe, and SATA.
  • Experience in developing test scripts using PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Strong debugging skills with a track record of resolving complex computer issues at hardware, firmware, and software levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Enterprise Server architecture.
  • Experience in developing individual test cases and comprehensive test plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure successful test execution.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server Operating System.
  • Experience with platform-level test architecture and debugging tools such as ITP, Arium, ARM JTAG tools, or equivalents.
  • Expertise in utilizing test tools including performance benchmarks, IO stress tools, memory stress tools, and bug management tools.
