Position Overview:
The Component Qualification Specialist plays a crucial role in the validation of industry-standard DIMM, SSD, and HDD components within Enterprise Server Systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising Program Managers on the scheduling and execution of testing protocols.
- Collaborating with engineering teams, system integrators, and component suppliers to identify, diagnose, and resolve testing failures.
- Debugging hardware, firmware, and software-related issues.
- Creating scripts to automate testing processes using PowerShell and Python.
- Formulating functional and performance test cases to ensure the optimal operation of industry-standard DIMM, SSD, and HDD components within Enterprise Servers.
- Supporting the lab team in troubleshooting and resolving issues that hinder test execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in testing Enterprise Servers or standard server components such as DIMM, SSD, and HDD.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards including DDR4, DDR5, NVMe, PCIe, and SATA.
- Experience in developing test scripts using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Excellent debugging skills with a track record of resolving complex computer issues at hardware, firmware, and software levels.
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Server architecture.
- Experience in creating individual test cases and comprehensive test plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure effective test execution.
- Proficiency in Windows Server Operating System.
- Experience with platform-level test architecture and debugging tools (e.g., ITP, Arium, ARM JTAG tools or equivalent).
- Expertise in utilizing test tools such as performance benchmarks, IO stress tools, memory stress tools, and bug management tools.
