Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all tax functions, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review intricate tax filings, including individual returns, S-corporations, C-corporations, and partnership returns.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research and strategic planning to optimize tax positions and enhance profitability.
  • Formulate and execute effective tax strategies and policies that align with organizational goals.
  • Provide expert tax advisory support to senior management, delivering insights, recommendations, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to address all tax-related matters efficiently.
  • Stay updated on the latest tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant and takes advantage of potential tax benefits.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA designation is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in tax management, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax return types.
  • Proven expertise in tax research and planning, with a strong ability to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with a history of nurturing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
