The Sack Company is a leading commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) firm seeking a qualified individual for the position at our office. We are dedicated to fostering a dynamic and efficient Plumbing Team.

PRIMARY ROLE: The individual in this role will serve as the primary contact between Field Operations and other departments within the organization, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and within budget constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of construction, plumbing, and project management, ideally with over 8 years of plumbing construction experience, along with proficient computer skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Upon project award, analyze the scope and facilitate the transition from Estimating to Operations.

2. Develop a Submittal book detailing the materials and fixtures designated for the project.

3. Establish supplier accounts necessary for project execution.

4. Collaborate with the office to ensure all preliminary notices and insurance certificates are dispatched to the General Contractor, and that the Job Book is finalized.

5. Review the contract and consult with Accounting and the CEO regarding any issues.

6. Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to the General Contractor as needed.

7. Prepare and submit change orders for additional work, maintaining a change order log for each project to expedite approvals.

8. Conduct detailed material take-offs as required, ensuring compliance with specifications and obtaining approvals for alternative materials.

9. Generate Purchase Orders and manage material procurement, consulting with the VP Operations or COO for orders exceeding authority limits.

10. Coordinate with the Superintendent on scheduling to ensure timely material orders and deliveries.

11. Complete the schedule of values during billing cycles and review with the Division Manager and accounting for invoicing.

12. Oversee the submission of all close-out documentation as mandated by the General Contractor.

13. Provide project reporting and analysis to assess profitability and labor efficiency.

14. Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new personnel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Project Manager will operate from the office and various job sites as assigned, typically within the regional area.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with Bluebeam Software, Excel, QuickPen, and possession of a State Plumbing License.
