Job Overview

Bank of America seeks a highly skilled Data Governance Strategist/Executive Data Manager to join its Global Payments Solutions team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward data strategy and management within the business, aligned with business objectives. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building bridges with partner teams, including subject matter experts and leaders globally in the business, technology, and operations.

You will work closely with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology.

The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of payments expertise and an in-depth understanding & knowledge of data. Success in this role requires a fundamental understanding of the business of global payments to play a key role in what we aim to achieve together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the adoption of and adherence to internal data management policies and standards
  • Develop and execute long-term vision for data management within the business, aligned with business objectives
  • Define data strategy, build comprehensive roadmap, align teams for buy-in, communicate to leadership for funding, and actively involved in allocation and execution
  • Work with regulators, internal audit and GCOR among other internal and external data management authorities and continuously monitor data health across GPS and consolidate health reporting for leadership
Requirements

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in a Data Management or Data Controls and Governance role or Payments related roles with a Data focus
  • A strong understanding of the line of business, including processes, products, services, and downstream critical uses & understanding of payments data and commercial banking transaction data
  • Able to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address
  • Capability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
Desired Skills

We also encourage candidates with:

  • 4+ years in Payments Role
  • Strong relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization
  • Understanding of applicable internal policy and standard requirements, including deep understanding of EDSGO-owned policy & standard requirements
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
