Position Overview:
We are in search of a talented and proactive MEP Engineer to enhance our rapidly expanding engineering division. This role presents an exciting chance to engage in a variety of projects, offering technical expertise in the design, construction, and upkeep of building systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering, emphasizing accessibility, sustainability, and energy efficiency. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational effectiveness, safety, and durability of our projects, significantly contributing to our firm's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed assessments of property conditions to evaluate existing building systems and pinpoint necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Analyze building designs and plans, offering expert recommendations on MEP system integration.
  • Execute thorough energy audits to uncover opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Perform forensic evaluations to identify the causes of building system failures and devise effective remediation strategies.
  • Design and assess HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to guarantee the seamless integration of MEP systems into overall building designs.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry developments, integrating new technologies and methodologies into your work as appropriate.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, focusing on building systems design and evaluation.
  • Proven expertise in conducting property condition assessments, energy audits, and forensic evaluations.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system design and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for design and analysis.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for creative and innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.
