Position ResponsibilitiesThe Wastewater Treatment Plant Technician is tasked with managing the operations of a 1.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant. This facility utilizes a waste-activated sludge process, featuring an SBR, Belt Press, Sand Filters, and DAF. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing all operational duties associated with the role.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks independently.
- Responding to process indicators and adjusting operations as necessary.
- Conducting troubleshooting and repairs on WWTP equipment effectively.
- Implementing equipment modifications to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Creating and managing preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all WWTP equipment.
- Training junior technicians in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Demonstrating proficiency in various maintenance functions, including Electrical, Electronics, PLC's/HMI's, Plumbing, Mechanical, Machining, Welding, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Education· High School Diploma is mandatory.
Experience· Minimum of one (1) year of relevant operational experience in a Class 1 or higher wastewater system.
· Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Skills and Abilities· Proficient in analyzing, reading, and composing reports, manuals, and procedures.
· Familiarity with computer operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
· Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
· Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate averages.
Professional Certifications· Required: Idaho Wastewater Operator Class I license (WWTP Operator I) or an equivalent certification from another state.
