Job Overview

Tuscany Suites & Casino is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor to manage the functionality of all HVAC and mechanical systems. This role is essential for ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all engineering functions and maintenance staff, providing guidance on performance, setting objectives, and conducting training.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant recovery and documentation.
  • Maintain a valid Universal Certification.
  • Adhere to hot work permit protocols.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC & R systems in accordance with manufacturer and health department guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of HVAC & R parts for timely repairs.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper disposal of materials post-maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment data, repairs, and refrigerant usage.
  • Ensure tools and instruments are in optimal condition and arrange for testing as necessary.
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations while working independently and in public areas.
  • Utilize appropriate safety equipment during HVAC & R operations.
  • Optimize efficiency by ensuring all necessary tools and parts are available for repairs.
  • Account for the proper storage of tools after use.
  • Maintain MSDS documentation for all chemicals and materials used in the HVAC & R department.
  • Be adaptable to undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Prepare purchase orders for parts and supplies with the Director of Engineering's approval.
  • Complete daily or weekly checklists thoroughly.
  • Be flexible with scheduled shifts to accommodate project needs without disrupting hotel or casino operations.
  • Perform repairs on kitchen equipment throughout the property.
  • Assist in moving and replacing kitchen equipment as required for repairs.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting (up to 50-70 pounds), reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
  • Diagnose power and gas issues using voltmeters or gauges.
  • Safely operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other machinery as needed for repairs.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC refrigeration and kitchen equipment. Candidates must possess a universal EPA card. This full-time position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work in environments with secondhand smoke and elevated noise levels. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with guests, management, and team members. The role demands physical stamina to perform tasks in a dynamic and busy setting, both indoors and outdoors, while being exposed to diverse environmental conditions.
