Job Overview

Tuscany Suites & Casino is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor to manage the performance and maintenance of all HVAC and mechanical systems. This role is essential for ensuring optimal operation and efficiency within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct all engineering functions and maintenance staff, providing guidance on performance, setting objectives, and managing schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant recovery and logging.
  • Maintain a valid Universal Certification for HVAC operations.
  • Adhere to hot work permit protocols and safety standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC & R equipment in accordance with manufacturer and health department guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of HVAC & R parts to ensure readiness for repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of materials post-maintenance activities.
  • Document equipment data, repairs, and refrigerant usage accurately.
  • Ensure tools and instruments are maintained in optimal condition, arranging for testing as necessary.
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations while working independently and in public areas.
  • Utilize appropriate safety equipment during HVAC & R operations.
  • Minimize operational inefficiencies by preparing for repairs with all necessary tools and parts.
  • Account for tools and ensure they are returned to their designated locations.
  • Maintain MSDS documentation for all chemicals and substances used in HVAC & R operations.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Prepare purchase orders for required parts or supplies with managerial approval.
  • Adhere to daily or weekly maintenance checklists.
  • Be flexible with scheduled shifts to accommodate project needs without disrupting hotel or casino operations.
  • Perform repairs on kitchen equipment throughout the property.
  • Assist in moving and lifting kitchen equipment as necessary for repairs.
  • Engage in physical activities including standing, walking, lifting (up to 50-70 pounds), and other movements.
  • Diagnose power and gas issues using appropriate tools.
  • Safely operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts as needed for repairs.
  • Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in commercial HVAC refrigeration and kitchen equipment maintenance. Candidates must possess a universal EPA certification. This is a full-time role requiring flexibility in shift scheduling. Candidates should be comfortable working in environments with exposure to secondhand smoke and elevated noise levels. The ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, as is effective interaction with guests, management, and team members. Physical stamina is necessary for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling in a dynamic work environment.
