Overview:

Insight Global is on the lookout for a Digital Signal Processing Engineer to become part of a dynamic hybrid team for a significant Government Integrator. This role involves close collaboration within a compact team focused on assessing and enhancing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) hardware and software tailored for military applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in rigorous testing and analytical processes to pinpoint vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors within systems and networks, while developing exploits and engineering attack methodologies.
  • Utilize advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, coupled with comprehensive industry knowledge.

  • Operate with minimal supervision; mentor and potentially oversee team members.

Day-to-Day Activities:

This position offers the chance to contribute to vital government research and development initiatives associated with signals-based microelectronics design and verification. The selected candidate will provide both technical and programmatic guidance across a spectrum of advanced systems, sensors, and computer processing technologies. This support will be instrumental in technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. As a DSP Engineer, you will be involved in the complete lifecycle of design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of advanced signals-based microelectronics systems, along with related trust and assurance programs. Your technical analyses and designs of digital signal chains will be presented as strategic recommendations to colleagues and clients, influencing technical program management, development initiatives, government research, and the future of critical technologies for the Department of Defense.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS or TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Digital Signal Processing tools and techniques, including MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with benchtop testing equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, or Vector Signal Generators).
  • Experience in analyzing, refining, and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Capability in developing technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of Linux distributions, including Redhat, CentOS, and Kali Linux.
  • Minimum Secret Clearance (SCI Eligibility).
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in electrical or computer engineering, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, with years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Signal Processing (development and research across various device families/platforms, working within Software Defined Radio communication systems, converting signals across domains, etc.).
  • Proficiency in digital logic design (performing RF signal sampling, collection, error correction, transmission, compression, and transformation).
  • Understanding of various commercial and government signal types across the RF spectrum (encryption and decryption, scrambling, and capturing signal data).
