GSI Service Group, Inc. is seeking a talented engineer to contribute to the US Army's cutting-edge digital engineering initiatives aimed at enhancing next-generation radar systems.

As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate on pioneering Science and Technology (S&T) projects at a leading R&D facility. You will leverage advanced engineering and modeling tools while working alongside experts in radar technology, modeling and simulation (M&S), and software/hardware integration for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Your role will involve supporting the evolution of digital engineering methodologies to develop and implement innovative signal and data processing techniques within a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering expertise to radar S&T initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation of novel radar signal and data processing methodologies.
  • Oversee the development of modeling and simulation environments, Systems Integration Laboratories (SILs), and digital twins to facilitate new radar capabilities.
  • Direct the formulation of system architectures and the integration of software and hardware components.
  • Facilitate meetings to negotiate solutions across various subsystems and disciplines, including software, hardware, modeling, and analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in radar/RF system design, development, engineering, testing, evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Background in Systems Engineering, particularly with radar/RF software and hardware subsystems.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and deliver organized presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • This role requires an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, necessitating US citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in radar and/or RF system design, development, engineering, testing, evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Experience in developing systems architectures and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with prototyping and implementing signal and data processing or conducting systems analysis using MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Knowledge of digital engineering practices within a modeling and simulation framework.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Goal-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment, and demonstrating a proactive work ethic.
