Job Summary

The Client Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients, collaborating with the Producer when necessary, developing in-depth knowledge of client accounts, and serving as a liaison between clients and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and nurture meaningful relationships with current and prospective clients, as well as internal and external referral sources, through regular interactions via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Effectively lead meetings with prospects and clients independently, showcasing the ability to communicate complex ideas and build trust.
  • Understand and articulate the IMA value proposition, presenting capabilities to current and prospective clients to drive business growth.
  • Market renewals and new business opportunities, working closely with the Producer when applicable, to prepare benefits analyses and proposals that meet client needs.
  • Direct the work of the Client Associate and Client Advisor when applicable, ensuring seamless execution of client projects.
  • Conduct benefits presentations for clients' employees through coordinated annual enrollment meetings, providing clear explanations of insurance coverages and options.
  • Stay up-to-date on insurance coverages, available markets, carrier eligibility requirements, and underwriting guidelines to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Communicate complex insurance concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner, tailoring explanations to meet their needs.
  • Take ownership of the retention and growth of assigned client accounts, driving business development and revenue growth.
  • Identify and offer technology solutions to clients, facilitating payment for technology by the carrier to deliver value-added benefits.
  • Resolve escalated client issues, including eligibility, enrollment, and claims inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Ensure all carrier submissions are complete and accurate, collaborating with clients, carriers, and the Client Advisor to deliver a positive client experience.
  • Maintain a service calendar and ensure timely completion of milestones, prioritizing client needs and expectations.
  • Communicate compliance and regulatory changes to clients, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Keep all current and historical information up-to-date in the agency management system, maintaining accurate records and data.
  • Securely handle all Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge and required licensing, ensuring expertise in insurance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with IMA staff, sharing information and resources as needed to support business objectives and drive success.
Requirements
  • Hold and maintain a NC Insurance Agent license.
  • At least 7 years of Client Advisor experience or a Risk Management Degree with at least 5 years of Client Advisor experience.
  • Possess behavioral indicators for sales and leadership aptitude based on Predictive Index results.
  • Successful completion of an assessment demonstrating a firm understanding and ability to explain insurance coverage to clients.
  • Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be willing to be paid by a combination of salary and additional compensation based on team results.
