Position Overview:
Valmet is seeking a skilled Advanced Process Control Engineer to enhance our Automation Business Line. This role is pivotal for those with expertise in Fiber Line or Causticizing cycles, particularly in Cooking, Washing & Bleaching or TTA & CE controls. You will be responsible for guiding customer projects from inception to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, collaborating closely with project teams and engineering partners.
- Manage all project phases, including Application, Definition and Engineering, Staging and Testing, Installation, and System Commissioning.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project development, system performance, acceptance, and post-project evaluations.
- Mentor and train team members; support Sales Managers and Project Managers as required.
- Provide insights for continuous improvement of our product offerings and operational processes.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Ideal candidates will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of Fiber Line or Causticizing Process Areas.
- Experience with advanced and regulatory controls and optimization techniques.
- Strong leadership qualities and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on process enhancement.
- The ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritize tasks effectively, and foster relationships with clients, colleagues, and international partners.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field. Proficiency in Python programming is advantageous.

Travel Requirements:
This role may require travel up to 50% of the time, primarily domestic, with occasional international assignments.

Remote Work:
While remote work options are available, preference will be given to candidates residing in the Atlanta area. Please note that this position does not offer immigration assistance; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
