Job Title: Construction Supervisor

At MasTec Utility Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee the construction of projects and monitor activities at worksites. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to ensure health and safety codes are observed and work is completed to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.
  • Monitor construction processes and provide training and team building sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Perform equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
  • Schedule regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff.
  • Write up reports, budgets, project plans, and present them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects and other professionals.
  • Stay up to date with safety codes and advancements in construction.
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff.
  • Process paperwork and travel to multiple sites as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Construction industry.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Current and valid state driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure.
  • Ability to keep track of multiple Construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Business, Management, or engineering.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • CDL Class A drivers license.

This role operates in a field environment and requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
