Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is actively looking for a Construction Project Supervisor to enhance our team. The Supervisor will oversee and manage designated projects, ensuring effective field operations, site safety, productivity, timelines, quality standards, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, the Supervisor will lead the project team to achieve project timelines while maximizing profitability. Additionally, the Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the daily tasks of field personnel, subcontractors, and assistant supervisors.
Key Responsibilities: – Project Planning:- Formulate Construction Sequence & Schedule at project initiation and uphold the schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize and oversee Assistant Superintendent and/or craft personnel tasks, including determining construction methods, optimal manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary facilities, work schedules, and documenting actual hours worked.
- Comprehend project estimates and budgets.
- Review submittals before work installation.
- Grasp subcontractor and supplier contract scopes and engage in procurement processes.
- Aid in the preparation, management, and updates to the project schedule, including quantities, sequences, and activity durations alongside the project team.
- Establish the punch list process and close-out procedures in collaboration with the Project Manager, Owner, and Architect.
- Schedule and procure necessary tools, materials, and equipment for the project.
- Mentor and train team members as required.
– Pre-Construction Activities:
- Collaborate in developing and managing the Pre-Construction Schedule with the Project Manager.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the Preconstruction phase.
- Participate in Constructability Reviews and Value Engineering initiatives.
- Create a site logistics plan.
– Safety Management:
- Ensure that job safety protocols are understood and executed by all project personnel and subcontractors, while working with safety support personnel as a resource.
- Identify and rectify safety hazards at the job site.
- Strive for zero injuries on all projects.
- Report job site incidents/accidents promptly to safety personnel.
- Participate in on-site safety meetings.
– Client Relations:
- Understand and communicate the owner's construction goals to all field personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with Owners, Architects, Program Managers, and Inspectors throughout project execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction Supervisor.
- A BS or BA in Construction Science/Engineering or equivalent construction experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in building and managing project schedules.
- Familiarity with local subcontractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with projects across various sectors, including but not limited to K-12, Higher Education, Multifamily, or Healthcare.
- Familiarity with CMiC is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Asta is preferred but not mandatory.
