About the Role

Sunrun is a leading provider of solar energy solutions, and we're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Field Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating sales leads and presenting our solar products and services to potential customers in their homes. Your primary goal will be to establish genuine connections with customers, qualify and vet solar as a viable energy solution for their homes and families, and ultimately drive sales growth for Sunrun.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute effective self-generated sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and sales experiences to customers from initial contact through installation and beyond.
  • Conduct in-home sales presentations to educate customers about our solar products and services, and build long-lasting relationships with them.
  • Manage the pipeline of activity from prospect to install, following up with all leads and in-home consultations to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
  • Accurately track and report on sales activity and outcomes using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Meet or exceed minimum sales targets as set by sales leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, with in-home sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and address customer needs.
  • Willingness to spend time traveling within local markets, depending on business needs and sales model.
  • Intermediate comfort level with technology, utilizing an iPad/computer and multiple software applications (experience with a CRM is a plus).
