Discovery Regional HS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accountability and Assessment to lead our district-wide testing program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and directing all functions related to testing, providing a comprehensive vision of assessment for the district, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and direct all functions related to testing, including state and local assessments
- Provide a comprehensive vision of assessment for the district, including the compilation and reporting of student achievement data
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and district policies related to testing and assessment
- Coordinate test administration activities with the LEA, including collaboration with the Technology Director and/or technical staff, Special Education Director, ESOL/Title III Coordinator, and/or designated staff, principals, and school test coordinators
- Account for participation of all students in terms of testing requirements, including special populations and those requiring testing accommodations
- Assist with planning of district assessment plan and conduct training and professional learning for all school assessment coordinators
- Directs and manages the district-wide testing program (State and Local Assessments) for all students
- Serve as the primary liaison for the District Formative Assessments/Illuminate and Fastbridge Assessment Platforms between school and district staff
- Conducts training on instruments and the interpretation of the results, and builds capacity among school leaders and teachers by facilitating professional learning on how to effectively implement and navigate through the Illuminate platform
- Meets minimal certification standards as established by the Professional Standards Commission and accrediting agencies
- Such additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Relevant computer programs and skills, current office practices and procedures, records management techniques, and operation of standard office equipment using pertinent software applications
- Working with diverse individuals and/or groups, tenets of confidentiality, reading technical information, and performing a variety of complex secretarial and administrative assistant duties to relieve the administrator of administrative and clerical detail
- Problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and schedules, work with detailed and confidential information, and present information to individuals and/or groups
