Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Landscape Superintendent to lead our commercial landscape construction team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, leadership, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field staffing, recruitment, and hiring activities for all projects.
  • Study and understand project plans, attending pre-job walks and regular site visits.
  • Verify correct installation and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of extras and collection of approved paperwork.
  • Monitor job cost reports, correcting errors in accounting practices and labor time management.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and LDI management.
Leadership & Management
  • Implement and exceed company policy, systems, and procedures for Field Operations, Safety, Quality Control, and Technical Training.
  • Adhere to and promote LDI's company doctrine, values, and mission statement.
  • Oversee equipment and tool usage in the field.
  • Conduct bi-weekly Foreman meetings and train assigned Foremen.
  • Ensure new employees are trained on LDI policies, procedures, and project management practices.
  • Conduct transactions in compliance with LDI company policies and standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of commercial landscape construction experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
  • PW Experience.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
  • Work in or about situations near direct automotive traffic.
  • Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks, 5 days a week (some overtime/weekend work required).
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions, temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
