Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our CoMET services team in Northern California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through frequent communication, mentoring, and managing our local CoMET services team. Your technical leadership abilities and client service focus will drive our success in meeting the needs of our diverse client base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project kickoff meetings and ensure successful project execution.
  • Perform materials testing and inspection services, and provide hands-on training to field staff.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, and lead loss prevention discussions with staff.
  • Review and approve daily field reports and laboratory data reports.
  • Respond to technical and project-specific questions from clients, administrative personnel, field staff, and laboratory manager.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure satisfactory service delivery.
  • Monitor quality standards and practices, and submit project deliverables to clients as per contract scope and schedule.
  • Prepare cost estimates and letter proposals for new projects.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, and/or other construction-related engineering services.
  • 1 year of project management experience, including direct client interaction and project planning, organization, execution, and direction.
  • Able to use a company-provided laptop or tablet computer and have a working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a construction-related field.
  • Certification in testing and inspection, including soils, concrete, aggregate, asphalt, and specialty testing.
