Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Superintendent to join our team at Elitegen Enterprise LLC. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in commercial landscape construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team of field staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field staffing for all projects, including recruitment, selection, and hiring activities.
  • Study and understand plans for each project under construction, ensuring accurate installation and adherence to specifications.
  • Attend pre-job walks and regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Verify correct installation and adherence to plans and specifications at each project.
  • Complete timely and accurate written documentation of extras and collection of approved paperwork.
  • Monitor job cost reports weekly, correcting errors in accounting practices, purchasing issues, and labor time management.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.
  • Maintain positive relationships and ongoing communication with clients and LDI management/departments.
Leadership and Management
  • Implement and exceed current company policy, systems, and procedures for Field Operations, Safety, Quality Control, and Technical Training Programs.
  • Adhere to and embody LDI's company doctrine, values, and mission statement, ensuring direct reports do the same.
  • Oversee the proper and efficient use of equipment and tools in the field.
  • Conduct bi-weekly Foreman meetings and train and evaluate assigned Foremen.
  • Ensure new employees are trained on proper LDI policies and procedures, company culture, and project management practices.
  • Conduct all transactions in compliance with LDI company policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
Safety
  • Ensure all LDI safety policies and OSHA regulations are met, with high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Immediately report any employee injuries to Human Resources and/or Safety Officer.
  • Enforce field employees to wear appropriate uniform and PPE's for job functions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of commercial landscape construction related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated leadership/management experience.
  • PW Experience.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
  • Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic.
  • Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required).
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
