The Human Resources Director will lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies aligned with the company's business objectives. This role will oversee and direct activities relating to personnel rules and regulations, staffing, employee education and training, management development, employee relations, workers compensation administration, benefits administration, and salary administration.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, and 7+ years of human resources experience, including 3+ years in an HR leadership role. Experience with HR Analytics and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional weekend work may be required. The Human Resources Director must be authorized to work in the USA or be a Canadian citizen.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Oversee and direct activities relating to personnel rules and regulations, staffing, employee education and training, management development, employee relations, workers compensation administration, benefits administration, and salary administration.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast workforce needs, including skills development, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
- Partners with business leaders to create and sustain a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and implement improvement initiatives based on feedback.
- Utilize HR analytics to make informed decisions related to workforce planning, employee engagement, and talent development.
- Approves and directs new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Investigates problems incidental to sound and uniform personnel administration, such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee and applicant appeals. Provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolutions.
- Plans and oversees employee benefit programs. Keeps records of insurance coverage, and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Prepares budget for human resources operations.
- Conducts wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
- Conducts research to determine the effectiveness of personnel programs and policies.
- Develops and proposes improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and operations.
- Administers pre-employment tests to applicants.
- Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of human resources experience.
- 3+ years in an HR leadership role.
- Experience with HR Analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Canadian citizen or authorized to work in the USA.
