We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team at Eagle Rock Distributing Company. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and marketing efforts for our supplier brands in assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Solicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.
- Count and order products in each account using the Encompass software package.
- Manage, rotate, and maintain a neat inventory in each account.
- Sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations.
- Develop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growth.
- Establish a close working relationship with all retail partners.
- Responsible for ensuring marketing and sales support materials are displayed in each retail outlet.
- Secure the best possible selling position for our products.
- Place all brand POS materials to establish a look of the leader.
- Conduct special promotions within accounts to increase brand sales.
- Maintain strong lines of communication with the Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expectations.
- Operate company vehicles safely and according to policy.
- Actively supports the Company's mission and vision philosophy.
- Attends all required Company meetings.
- Employee initiates and actively participates in personal growth and development plans.
- Works with all co-workers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.
- Understands and complies with all Eagle Rock Distributing Company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience in the beverage alcohol industry and/or distribution preferred.
- Must be able to meet company MVR and insurability standards.
- Exhibits a sense of urgency to achieve timely, quality results.
- Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities.
- Works effectively individually or in a team environment.
- Remains highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize product knowledge, sales techniques, and account characteristics.
- Adheres closely to company policies and procedures and all relevant laws.
- Communicates clearly, proactively, and effectively with co-workers, leadership, suppliers, and accounts.
- Displays strong customer service skills.
- Possesses strong attention to detail.
- Exercises sound judgment in decision-making.
- Takes initiative to complete regular responsibilities, assigned tasks, and achieve goals.
- Able to learn and is competent in using technology that includes, but is not limited to: tablets, cell phones, standard office equipment, current operating systems, sales and warehouse management software, and email software.
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending/crouching, and reaching in front and above the head.
- May require sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Occasionally lifts, pushes, or pulls items up to 70 lbs. (with or without assistance).
- Job duties are primarily performed inside and outside customer accounts.
- Occasional work in an office and/or warehouse environment is required.
- Experiences exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
