About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and skilled Senior Financial Accountant to enhance our finance team within the technology sector. This hybrid position allows for a combination of remote and onsite work. The successful candidate will possess a robust accounting background, particularly in areas such as compensation and benefits accounting, account reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and general ledger management. This role is pivotal in our financial operations, directly influencing our strategic objectives and overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure precise reporting and ledger accuracy.
- Assist in the month-end closing activities, guaranteeing timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and oversee compensation and benefits accounting functions.
- Review general ledger entries, addressing any inconsistencies.
- Ensure adherence to SOX regulations and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes.
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Contribute to the development and execution of new accounting systems and methodologies.
- Engage in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA certification is highly regarded.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the technology industry.
- Expertise in compensation and benefits accounting, account reconciliations, month-end closing, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
