Job Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Production Packaging Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in managing our packaging processes, ensuring that all production standards for quality, safety, and efficiency are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure the assigned packaging machinery in accordance with production schedules.
  • Ensure that date codes are clear and correctly positioned, meeting both customer and quality requirements.
  • Inspect package seals for integrity to prevent leaks and confirm adequate seal strength.
  • Align bags accurately with the graphics during the packaging process.
  • Facilitate size changeovers based on production needs while minimizing downtime.
  • Adjust product weights to comply with specified net weight standards, reducing instances of over or underweight products.
  • Conduct basic mechanical adjustments or repairs when necessary.
  • Keep the Production Supervisor updated on any maintenance issues requiring attention.
  • Document machine downtime, film shrinkage, and other relevant metrics as required.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and isolate non-compliant products.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Report on parts usage and any shortages of equipment components to the Production Supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting, specifically as a packaging machine operator.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of form, fill, and seal packaging machinery.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while meeting production targets.
