Overview

The Product Commercialization Expert will collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists, focusing on managing and executing the commercialization journey across all stages of a product's lifecycle as guided by the product management team. The primary objective is to ensure that products are primed for manufacturing and ready for market delivery within the timelines established by product management.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing Bills of Material, overseeing Engineering Change Requests, and managing Sales Action Requests to ensure prompt workflow responses.

  • Utilizes in-depth product knowledge to interpret, define, and/or generate material requirements, including material numbers, structures, quote texts, documentation records such as artwork, source control drawings, and variant structures and flows.
  • Facilitates the formulation of Bills of Material (BOM) to enhance manufacturability and marketability.
  • Oversees and manages Engineering Change Requests (ECRs): ensuring proper documentation, attaching necessary files, and securing timely workflow responses.
  • Manages requests for material commercialization (Sales Action Requests): inputting product master data, ensuring information accuracy, and maintaining timely workflow responses.
  • Coordinates work process flows by proactively aligning information and requirements with relevant operational departments, while participating in discussions and providing recommendations to business teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 2-5 years of experience in a professional setting. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP at a transactional level, particularly in Product Life Management (PLM), Materials Management (MM), and Engineering Change Management (ECM).
  • A solid grasp of manufacturing and marketing frameworks, or an understanding of the product development lifecycle from inception to market-ready item. Experience in bringing new products to market is beneficial.
  • Values both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders in product commercialization across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of learning and utilizing automation scripts for mass material creation in SAP.
  • Proficient in computer skills applicable to new project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications – Teams, Excel, Word.
