Job Summary:

The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for delivering a positive patient experience throughout Freeman Health System. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient registrations, providing general information with respectful and effective communication, and other activities aimed at creating a safe and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers, patients, vendors, and other visitors to the facility.
  • Answer patient questions and provide aid and directions when necessary.
  • Register patients and ensure documentation and forms are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
  • Collect payments and print receipts for patients.
  • Count and balance cash drawer.
  • Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Verify eligibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
