The Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business by utilizing a consultative sales approach to develop leads and relationships with potential utility and public sector clients, leading to new revenue business with appropriate gross margins. The ideal candidate must discover and understand utility and customer needs and concerns, working closely with the operations team to translate them into feasible, installable solutions. This role involves communicating directly with both the company's and prospective customers' leadership, engineers, project managers, contract specialists, and other technical representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new business through trade shows, research, involvement with various organizations, and cold calls
- Develop thorough knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including structure, opportunities, trends, and issues
- Cultivate effective business relationships and communicate the full scope of solutions to meet customer business goals and achieve sales objectives, volume, and market share
- Maintain open communication lines with customers to understand their needs and concerns and ensure our solutions align with their goals
- Meet standards for activities and results, including first calls, letters of authorization or intent, sales amount, and gross margin dollar goals
- Prepare and present professional proposals addressing all customer needs and concerns, including a financial proposal

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Five or more years' experience selling large solutions or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Highly effective and successful sales negotiation and closing techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to compose and write proposals, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
