Sustainable Energy Systems Specialist - Facilities Operations

Position Overview

As a Sustainable Energy Systems Specialist, you will report to the Controls Supervisor and play a crucial role in understanding the effects of improper pressurization, humidity levels, and temperature variances in diverse environments, including laboratories and educational facilities.

Your expertise in energy management and systems engineering will be essential in enhancing the performance of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance for the operation and upkeep of automation and data collection systems to maintain optimal temperature and humidity in facilities.
  • Analyze collected data for precision and propose strategies for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Perform repairs, calibrations, modifications, and upgrades on electronic systems and programming to ensure effective operation of automation and data collection systems.


Work Environment:

This role is designated as On-Campus. Work mode designations are subject to regular reviews to align with the institution's evolving needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, including at least 2 years with computerized control systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems, as well as networking principles.
  • Strong computer skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within teams.


Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $54,000 and $100,493.33. Compensation is influenced by various factors, including individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and institutional needs.
