Key Responsibilities:

This role involves assisting in the repair and refurbishment of equipment, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved efficiently, accurately, and promptly.

  • Deliver service to the customer base by repairing and refurbishing equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Conduct general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors safely and promptly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance for clients by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operational deficiencies of mechanical systems to ensure quality work performance.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components utilizing electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Maintain clear corporate and personal records of work history.
  • Support the department by processing job tickets and work orders promptly.
  • Assist by picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
  • Engage in minor construction and remodeling projects, including the initiation of new installations.
  • Operate the company vehicle safely.
  • Execute other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • EPA certification.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems in convenience stores or supermarkets is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, along with prior work on display cases and walk-in boxes, is very helpful.
  • Must possess a good driving record and be capable of working independently.
  • Availability for emergency on-call duties is a basic requirement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance and be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
