Job Summary

As a Housekeeping Lead, you will work independently with minimal supervision, performing support duties for the management team. You will act as a resource person for staff, coordinating services with other departments to minimize disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities, ensuring housekeeping staff follow established procedures for housekeeping, linen, discharge, and projects.
  • Distribute and receive equipment and supplies for staff use during designated shift times.
  • Adjust schedules and assignments to meet staffing and patient needs.
  • Communicate with the management team on identified opportunities, concerns, staffing levels, and other relevant issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining retention levels and resolving complaints and concerns from patients, visitors, physicians, and subordinates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Significant customer service skill to explain policies or practices and communicate with others in sensitive situations.
  • Ability to read and exchange information with patients and others, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Comfort using basic computer technology.
  • Effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
