Job Title: Sr. Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology

About the Role:

The Sr. Therapeutic Area Specialist will play a critical role in executing our customer model to drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within the Hematology portfolio. This involves engaging with healthcare providers to deliver a differentiated customer experience, leveraging scientific dialogue and new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
  • Engage with and maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Use available tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network.
  • Experience in Hematology required.
  • Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
