About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and providing support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, utilizing HR software systems such as Paycor and ADP.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer leave programs and policies in accordance with legal requirements, collaborating with the HR Director.
  • Manage workers' compensation program administration in compliance with OSHA and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and provide support to managers during these processes.
  • Conduct safety orientation training for new employees.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and motivation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and think resourcefully.
